Camille Savès Champagne Blend Champagne Cuvée Rosé Brut NV
Camille Savès is a family run business in the village of Bouzy which makes small quantities of finely crafted champagnes. The fruit is sourced from the family's own 10 hectares of vineyard which include Grand Cru parcels in the communes of Bouzy, Ambonnay and Tours-sur-Marne. In addition, the vineyards are run according to the principles of lutte raisonée and the vines have an average age over 35 years old. These notable features of the Camille Savès domaine enable the unique character of Champagne to be fully expressed in their wines. The Camille Savès Brut Rosé is sourced from Bouzy Grand Cru Pinot and Chardonnay fruit and has a delicate pink colour. There is a delightful red berry aroma on the nose and the palate has great finesse.
External Reviews for Camille Savès Champagne Blend Champagne Cuvée Rosé Brut
An exceptionally fresh and quite restrained nose that is fruity without being common as the fruit is mostly pinot with only traces of raspberry and pomegranate that introduce delicious and wonderfully vibrant flavors underpinned by just the right amount of effervescence to allow the full impact of the fruit to come through here as well, all wrapped in a moderately dry, clean and very pure finish. This is positively lovely and fashioned in an understated style with an emphasis on finesse and refinement. I should note that if your taste runs more towards very full-flavored rosés, this is probably not for you as the descriptor understated captures the essential spirit of this wine.
