Camille Giroud was family owned for three generations until 2002 when they sold their estate to the Colgin family. Since then David Croix, the winemaker, had taken this nearly bankrupt estate and has completely turned it around. The Giroud estate produces fine wines that are an elegant expression of the region. Croix's '06 Latricieres is a excellent, firmly structured wine, full of intense fruit, mineral, and spice; driven by terroir, but elegant and focused.
