Cameron Hughes Zinfandel Lodi the Flying Winemaker 2009

Winemaker's Notes:

Notes: Bold Crimson with matching center. It comes on with big fruit notes of Cherry, jammy raspberry and wild strawberries. Kitchen spices of nutmeg, black pepper, and subtle burnt caramel round out a round finish. This Zinfandel is bold and sophisticated with well-integrated tannins and a finish that lingers and lingers. Cameron Confidential: This wine comes to us from a wine group that specializes in developing vineyards and growing many different varietals all over California. This Zinfandel in particular comes from a state-of-the art sustainable facility in Lodi. The winemaker makes many different wines but does a particularly great job with Zin. With the help of our Winemaker Sam Spencer, we were able to put together a top-notch Zin at a great price.

Very balanced with a medium/full body and very smooth finish. A great value. Will be adding a few more bottles to my cellar.

There is dark fruit on the nose and a beautiful, intense dark berry flavor on the palate. This wine has all the depth and complexity you expect. It is produced for us by one of California s most respected winemakers.
