Slightly balsamic and beefy on the nose with juniper- and vanilla-topped sliced plum fruit. Rather smooth on entry and a little compact in the mouth with milk chocolate-framed red cherry and red plum fruits on the palate. There's a nice accent of wood spice adding some detail here, though it turns into a more assertive cedary overlay on the back end. The tannins pop a bit on the finish cutting it a bit short. This does show a hint of heat. 87pts

Nice chilled, smocked cheddar enhanced it alot.
Light ruby in color, with a slight violet tinge. The wine is soft and very fruit-forward. Exceptionally mild tannins and a light texture. Strawberry and cherry. Went well with a variety of foods, so it was a good restaurant purchase--not sure I'd seek it out in the store, though, as there are better PNs at this price point.

Ruby-red. Smoke- and spice-accented aromas of black raspberry, lavender and vanilla. Pliant and sweet in the mouth, offering vibrant red and dark berry flavors that pick up a licorice nuance with air. Shows good energy and a refreshingly bitter quality on the finish, which is firmed by smooth, even tannins.
A pretty, elegant and fresh effort that has loads of charm, the 2011 Pinot Noir Julia’s Vineyard has plenty of sweet cherry, raspberry and spice to go with a medium-bodied, pure and supple feel on the palate. Juicy acidity emerges on the finish and the focus here is on beautiful Pinot Noir fruit. Enjoy it over the coming handful of years. Drink now–2016.

Aromas and notes of bright cherry and strawberry nuances along with cinnamon, vanilla and nutmeg spice. Well balanced with fine tannins and good structure.

Julia's Vineyard Pinot Noir is located on the cooler, western end of the Cambria Estate in Santa Maria Valley, California. Named after Jess Jackson's youngest daughter, all fruit from Julia's Vineyard is estate grown and reflects the quality of Pinot Noir from the Santa Maria Bench in Northern Santa Barbara County. This is rich Pinot Noir with red cherry pie flavors, dusty spice, and a hint of sweet oak with a refreshign finish.
