Cambria Pinot Noir Clone Santa Maria Valley 2013

External Review by WineExpress.com:

For more than 25 years, Cambria has produced wines that faithfully express the singular stamp of the Santa Maria Bench, one of the finest cool-climate growing regions in California. In this exceptional setting, where the foothills rise up from the valley floor the vineyards contain ancient, complex soils. Something Cambria specializes in is the production of stylistically distinct bottlings of small-lots like this Clone 4 Pinot Noir. 100% estate grown, it highlights the special quality and distinct character that's possible for Pinot Noir in this region. The wine aged for 7 months in 20% new French oak. THis is a wine that routinely garners rave reviews. None yet for this 2013 but you'll find it to be dark garnet in color, brimming with rich red fruit, Asian spices and earthy characteristics backed up with a silky tannin structure and a long balanced finish.
