Cambria Julia's Vineyard Pinot Noir 2012
Slightly balsamic and beefy on the nose with juniper- and vanilla-topped sliced plum fruit. Rather smooth on entry and a little compact in the mouth with milk chocolate-framed red cherry and red plum fruits on the palate. There's a nice accent of wood spice adding some detail here, though it turns into a more assertive cedary overlay on the back end. The tannins pop a bit on the finish cutting it a bit short. This does show a hint of heat. 87ptsAdd winemaker's notes
Santa Barbara County is a quiet sanctuary of golden hills and well-groomed vineyards located three hours north of the glitter and bustle of Los Angeles. This is the place we call home. For more than 20 years, we have produced estate grown Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Syrah from our benchland vineyard in the Santa Maria Valley AVA of Santa Barbara County. Welcome to Cambria.

Really love the nose - porto-like raisiny oak notes, with toasted marshmallow and hints of mango. The wood doesn't extend into the body where the black fruit takes hold, with soft tannins + acids.
This is always a solid bottle. Lots of strawberry and just enough forest floor. Good value.
Nice chilled, smocked cheddar enhanced it alot.

Bright, fruit flavored with strawberry and cherry, it gives way to its seductive side with velvety layers of blueberry and blackberry and suttle hits of delicate vanilla and spicy cinnamon. Located in the cool climate of Santa Barbara.
Ruby-red. Smoke- and spice-accented aromas of black raspberry, lavender and vanilla. Pliant and sweet in the mouth, offering vibrant red and dark berry flavors that pick up a licorice nuance with air. Shows good energy and a refreshingly bitter quality on the finish, which is firmed by smooth, even tannins.
Aromas and notes of bright cherry and strawberry nuances along with cinnamon, vanilla and nutmeg spice. Well balanced with fine tannins and good structure.
A pretty, elegant and fresh effort that has loads of charm, the 2011 Pinot Noir Julia’s Vineyard has plenty of sweet cherry, raspberry and spice to go with a medium-bodied, pure and supple feel on the palate. Juicy acidity emerges on the finish and the focus here is on beautiful Pinot Noir fruit. Enjoy it over the coming handful of years. Drink now–2016.
Another lovely Julia's Pinot from Cambria, at a fair price. With its light tannins and transparency, it's definitely Pinot Noir, and the acidity testifies to a cool climate. You might even pick out the Santa Maria Valley from the crushed Indian spice... Wine Enthusiast. A Pinot Noir wine from California in USA. 2010 Cambria Pinot Noir Estate Julias Vineyard 750ml

The 2009 Pinot Noir Julia’s Vineyard flows from the glass with layers of sweet candied fruit, raspberries, flowers and spices. The Julia’s is impressive for its expressive varietal character and excellent balance, both quite an achievement for a wine with a 60,000 case production. This was fermented in oak barrels (27% new) and aged on its lees with batonnage for seven months. Anticipated maturity: 2011–2014.
