The Bench Break Vineyard Pinot Noir displays deep aromas of black cherries, red raspberries, cola and cinnamon, accented by sweet vanilla and nutmeg. A silky textured mid-palate finishes with bright plum and toasty oak flavors and balanced acidity. Smooth, chalky tannins lead to a clean, lingering finish.
Santa Barbara County is a quiet sanctuary of golden hills and well-groomed vineyards located three hours north of the glitter and bustle of Los Angeles. This is the place we call home. For more than 20 years, we have produced estate grown Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Syrah from our benchland vineyard in the Santa Maria Valley AVA of Santa Barbara County. Welcome to Cambria.
A solid wine. Flavors and aromas of cherries, herbal, vegetal, tannic and leathery palate. A good wine, essentially uninteresting, but I really have nothing bad to say about it. Drink up!
This is a wonderful wine. Light in color with a little amber at the edges. This wine has an impressive amount of tannin and acidity for a pinot noir. Not overly fruity but there is a very good balance. Earthy and smoky notes are intertwined with the red fruit notes. Impressive.
This was more water than wine.
Complex nose with cola, liquorice, red fruits, wood, earth, and spice. The palate shows mostly cherry and berry red fruit flavors with accents of wood and spice. Somewhat smooth mouthfeel with a medium/light body and easy tannins.
Very clear, pale redd/orange. Gradual gradient from outer edge to center. Sweet red berry (strawberry) on the nose with just a hint of alcohol. Big, bright fruit (strawberry and raspberry). Nicely balanced with natural acidity. Great wine for the price!
Very good Pinot; nice full range of flavors, beginning with black cherries and port, finishing with wonderful tannins and mild pepper.
Found the '06, got several bottles and found that I didn't like it as much as the '07. Damn those critics! The '06 had a deeper texture to it, more tannins, and didn't have the sweetness of the '07.
