A spectacular young Pinot Noir (one of the greatest New World Pinots I have tasted), the 1999 Jensen Vineyard boasts a deep ruby/purple color as well as a phenomenal bouquet of black raspberry, cherry, currant, white flower, and forest floor scents. Dense and full-bodied, it is explosive on the palate yet neither heavy nor overdone. An extraordinary expression of Pinot Noir, this penetrating, staggeringly concentrated, yet elegant and gracious 1999 should drink well for 12-15 years. Wow! -Wine Advocate
