Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

Calera's entry-level Chardonnay is sourced from vineyards in the Central Coast, and represents an excellent value for the region. Deep fruit character and layered complexity not often found at this price point, very impressive.

Pale yellow in the glass with high-toned, tropical notes on the nose, along with spicy Asian pear. The palate is floral and expressive with hazelnut skin nuances and a waxy, textured weight. Up front and youthful with a warm, lasting finish. Lay down... Devon Magee. A Chardonnay wine from California in USA. 2011 Calera Chardonnay Mt Harlan 750ml

Josh Jensen brings his restrained hand to this very fine Chardonnay. It’s notable for the excellence of all its parts, and the balanced way they co-exist. You’ll find tantalizingly rich tropical fruit and peach flavors, with nuances of oak, as well as the minerality that the estate vineyard brings to all its wines, white and red.
