Add your reviewAcidic attack with lots of oak on the nose. There's a touch of fruit hidden behind, but its way too oaky. A bitter and very spicy oaky finish (short though).
Harvested very ripe (Oct-Nov 2006) and shows hints of ripe tree fruit and even tropical fruit, but the most salient style is that luxurious, unctuous buttery style with spice, toffee and creamy oaky nuts, quite viscous and delicious

Calera's entry-level Chardonnay is sourced from vineyards in the Central Coast, and represents an excellent value for the region. Deep fruit character and layered complexity not often found at this price point, very impressive.
Pale yellow in the glass with high-toned, tropical notes on the nose, along with spicy Asian pear. The palate is floral and expressive with hazelnut skin nuances and a waxy, textured weight.
