Food Pairings for Cálem Porto Colheita
A typical tawny colour of light red with a hint of brown. Pale in the intensity and watery around the rim. The first aroma that hits your nose is confectionary plum and spice, but with an overture of slight floral notes. Also apparent is the waft of alcohol. On the palette is a well balanced matching of acidity and sugar, this port coats your mouth with a red berry sensation and followed through with spice, almost nutmeg and Christmas spice. The length is medium but the instensity of the alcohol remains on the back of the throat. Perfect matching with a hot apple pie or summer fruits bake.
