Calcareous Paso Robles Tres Violet 2008
Our beautiful garnet 2008 Rhone blend produces a perfume of blackberry and fig, framed by hints of cola and sweet cream. The palate is structured with upfront bright acidity and heavy ripe tannin mixing flavors of black cherry tart, almond and sandal wood. The lingering finish is powerful, yet clean, indicating a wine worthy of the cellar.
Uber ripe, thick and rich, with a very perfumed nose of macerated blackberries and baked figs plus tea and incense. The weight is balanced by just enough acid. The balance of this wine despite everything should make this wine enjoyable to traditional Rhone fans and New World lovers alike.
