This is the wine I had that got me into wine. The one word to describe it is elegance. This wine, although made in napa cab-style, has bordeaux-like complexity and elegance. Mild dark cherry and chocolate flavors with hints of prunes and cassis.

Over 30 years ago, Jack Cakebread visited the Napa Valley for the first time and fell in love. One thing quickly led to another, and Cakebread Cellars was born very soon thereafter. Ever since they produced their first bottles, this winery has consistently impressed us, and the Reserve Chardonnay is their flagship wine. Night-harvested and whole-cluster pressed in the Carneros region, it possesses incredible depth, structure, and intensity.
