Errazuriz was founded in 1870 in the Aconcagua Valley, 65 miles north of the capital, Santiago, and at the foot of Mount Aconcagua, the highest peak in the Western Hemisphere, and one of the seven summits of the world. Recognizing that this valley was ideal for growing grapes, with its hot, dry summers and cool Pacific Ocean breezes, Don Maximiano Errazuriz sent for the finest clones from France, and with tenacity and perseverance transformed this barren land into a world-class vineyard. Today, the tradition lives on with Eduardo Chadwick, the fifth generation of his family to lead this exceptional estate. Eduardo’s work has been colossal, bringing Errazuriz into a new era where it is acknowledged as a producer of world-class wines, and opened eyes around the globe as to Chile’s incredible and diverse sites. As an estate winery, Errazuriz strives to produce the finest wines through meticulous attention to every stage of viticulture and vinification, from grape growing in the Aconcagua, Casablanca and Curico valleys, to winemaking with the most natural techniques. An emphasis is placed on the delicate handling of the wines, with the aim of producing wines with elegance and complexity. It is this dynamism and passion for wine that has made Errazuriz such an internationally respected producer of quality wines. Check us out at www.errazuriz.com Read less

Beeindruckendes Purpurrot.

Rich and ripe, with nicely polished focus to the mocha, tobacco, mulled currant and fig notes, all backed by coffee and dark licorice notes on the lengthy finish. There's nice underlying grip. Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Petit Verdot.

Broad and deep, with some rich, ripe aromatics some might call stewy. But the wine itself is balanced and healthy, with cassis, cherry and tobacco flavors. The finish sports a liqueur-like sweetness, and the tannins are just right.

Vivid red. Pungent aromas of dark cherry and cassis, plus a tangy note of blood orange. Spicy, tightly wound dark berry flavors possess good depth and clarity, with fine tannins adding support. Leaves zesty mineral and pepper notes behind the sappy finish. I like this winersquo;s energy and bite.

Good black cherry and currant fruit, with some sweet tasty tannins, and a smoky finish. Drink now.

Firm and condensed, but with the potential to unfold over the next three years. Cassis, tobacco, eucaplytus and dry berry aromas are classy and convincing; the palate is firm and defined by powerful cherry and cassis. Fold in toast and spice on the finish and you have a serious Cabernet Sauvignon that defines good value.

Hints of menthol lend freshness to this winersquo;s seductively ripe black fruit. Its potent structure needs a couple years in the bottle to mellow.
