This is a very smooth berry flavor Cabernet with flavors of vanilla, caramel and a bit of spice. Tannins are medium and the finish is wonderful. Read more

Dark fruit accented with lightly stemmy olive notes greets the nose, followed by a smoky top note over a nice base note of sweet bramble and blackberry fruit with slightly leathery accents. This is silky with slightly chalky tannins that offer nice cut on the palate. There’s a lot of fruit here, pretty purplish fruit with nice cranberry edges that leads to deep blackcurrant and blackberry flavors that are nicely bright on the palate and framed with spice and mocha accents. With time, this turns fairly tannic, very clean and fresh, with a moderately long finish that turns a touch pasty on the finale with just a little wood tannins sticking out. Medium full-bodied and smooth yet faceted, this is a safe bet to please a lot of people. 90 points

This is a very smooth berry flavor Cabernet with flavors of vanilla, caramel and a bit of spice. Tannins are medium and the finish is wonderful.
Expressive nose of currant, cassis and some green notes along with hints of plum and pepper. Aromas also of grilled herbs, asphalt and savory notes. Energetic and vibrant on the palate with a nice, rich feel. Elegant structure with nice balance. Good integration of wood with the currant, cassis and vanilla flavors. Light hint of eucalyptus. Pale bright yellow. Peach and flowers on the nose. Round and peachy, with sound acidity and a refreshing hint of licorice. Slightly phenolic, edgy finish. Sixty percent of this wine went through malolactic fermentation.
The 2010 Chardonnay offers good up-front fruit and an accessible, easygoing personality. Layers of tropical fruit, smoke and licorice wrap around the finish. About 60% of the wine was allowed to go through malolactic fermentation. Anticipated maturity: 2011ndash;2013.

Knights Valley is a very special place for us at Beringer. As you drive over the mountain from St.Helena, the valley opens up before your eyes and you immediately feel transported to another time,where things are slower and more rustic. I always hope to do justice to the vineyard with this wine and I believe this has done so - it delivers great complexity and depth while still retaining a rough-hewn charm. It has a nice acidity, rich tannins, and a solid concentration of fruit.
