Cabernet Franc Pequenas Partilhas Serra Gaúcha 2009

Editorial Review by Gregory Dal Piaz:

Six months in second and third passage American and French oak Lovely tomato leaf, cactus pad, vegetal character on the nose, red berry fruit, spicy, vegetal spice, lightly smoky red berry earthy fruit, bright and clear, transparent, deep fruit, earthy, mineral. Dark fruit but fresh, a little plummy with a little saltiness on the finish, fine crisp tannins, nicely ripe and fairly mature though still taut in the mouth, there's a definite stony quality on the finish that this shares with the Cab, nice length, 87pts
