Cabernet Blend Dogajolo 2006
A nice Tuscan table wine for under $10. Tasty with pasta or nice and smooth by itself.
One-dimensional Sangiovese at it's most boring. A super-Tuscan for $9 should set off red flags. Spend a few more bucks on a well-known Chianti and enjoy your dinner.
Lots of cedar on the nose along with some red fruit and delicious manure. On the palate it's smooth and balanced with a pleasant whole-mouth dryness.
Yes, it is not a brunello but for the price it was a good dinner wine.
