Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.

A fanciful and fun red wine, our 2011 Empress Red Blend opens with lifted berry aromas, kissed by a hint of oak. Ripe raspberry, boysenberry pie, currants and plums evolve through the silky, soft palate. Velvety layers of fruit and spice continue gracefully through the long, elegant finish. Light and bright, this is the perfect red wine for gathering with friends, sipping at a luncheon, or simply enjoying with a good book on the porch. - WineryVarietal Composition: Merlot, Grenache, Syrah, Petite Sirah, ZinfandelBarrel Aging: 8 months 60% French, 40% American, 25% new oakAppellation: 60% Lodi, 40% Central CoastAlcohol: 13.0%Acidity: 6.0 g/LpH: 3.55
