Vineyard Notes: The Estate Pichon Vineyard is located at 1200-1800 feet elevation on the Santa Cruz Mountains' Mount Umunhum above Lexington Reservoir. A vineyard in the late 1800's was maintained by the Delphin Pichon family. Burrell School is proud to be producing wines from this historic site. Tasting Notes: "Exceptional. Cranberry, plum, clove, pepper, spinach and other distinctive aroma notes. Great acidity for pairing with food, and lower alcohol (13.7%)" -Dan Berger, Vintage Experiences. Winemaker Notes: Our Syrah is barrel aged in American oak barrels, read more...

- Oh my goodness is this ever lovely. It's probably one of the best food pairing reds I have ever served. There is a fantastic anise-y taste that makes this so amazing with tomatoes and olive oil and Thai food. Really just picture a meal where basil would be a good addition and pair with this wine instead. Fabulous!
