Burn Cottage Pinot Noir Central Otago 2009

Winemaker's Notes:

5 stars, 19.5/20 points Decanter: The first vintage from a hot new winery owned by a wealthy US family. A great vineyard site at the foot of the Pisa Range is farmed using biodynamic methods. I can't remember when I tasted a first release that was this good. One to watch. Drink: 2012-2020. Alc: 14%. (Jul 2011)

Pretty nose, flora and raspberry with a hint of meat, little pith and oak. Soft, juicy, open, nice fruit, little coulis character jammy, vanilla tinged raspberry sorbet fini, fruity style but well done.
