Burgo Viejo Rioja Crianza 2010

External Review by JJ Buckley Fine Wines:

Bright ruby-red. Fragrant aromas of cherry pipe tobacco and vanilla with a smoky overtone. Smoky and sweet on the palate offering broad dark fruit flavors and a touch of coconut. Finishes juicy and long with sneaky tannins and lingering sweetness. Stephen Tanzers IWC.

The 2010 Crianza (90% Tempranillo and 10% Graciano) was aged 12 months in American oak. It displays a similar color but a slightly more complex nose of charcoal roasted herbs black cherries and black currants. Seductive and seamless with ripe tannin as well as low acidity this fleshy delicious 2010 should drink well for several more years. - Robert Parker Robert Parkers Wine Advocate.

Medium-bodied and traditional, with cranberry, red currant, cedar and hints of earth. Bright and crisp mouthfeel that finishes long.
