Burgess Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley Vintage Selection 1999
Wine Spectator: Top 100 Wines of 2002: #7: 91 Points. BURGESS Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley Vintage Selection 1999. "Ripe, rich and polished, with a tasty array of complex currant, plum and wild berry flavors that are sharply focused, long and detailed on the finish. Tannins are sufficient for cellaring, yet neatly woven into the texture. Beautifully crafted. Best from 2003 through 2012. 6,200 cases made. (JL)"

A solid mid-valley Cab. Well-ripened Cabernet fruit suggests black currants and blackberries, with rich earthy notes of tobacco and dried herbs. It's dry and velvety in the mouth. Tannins are thick, but negotiable. -S.H. Wine Enthusiast. A Cabernet Sauvignon wine from California in USA. 1999 Burgess Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon Vintage Selection 750ml

Reminiscent of blackberry jam in its deep dark berry appearance, this wine offered the panel strong aromatic hints of raisin, fig, dried mushrooms, and black pepper that seemed to leap out of the glass. The tannins were smooth but firm, possessing a fruit stand of blackberries, rich dark cherry, black plum and inviting tobacco with a slight note of bitter coffee. The full bodied crowd pleaser left with a leisurely stroll of through a spice rack of soft spices and delicate mocha.(Wine Report)Winery NotesThe Enveiere is a dark, deep purple wine with a richness that is very forward in the nose, while multi-faceted layers of spice and fruits linger from the first taste to the incredibly long-lasting finish. This wine can be enjoyed now or cellared for many years.
