Black raspberry scent. Very dry, tart with a touch of licorice.
Lean and acidic on the front and develops into a medium-bodied dry spiced palate, and a long hands-off finish with not as much spice as I was expecting.
Very serious malbec for the price, though it comes as no surprise that it's crafted by Dominio del plata. This is a great example to bring to someone who may have not been impressed by malbec at a lower price point. The budini has more spice and depth than many other examples that cost almost twice as much.
