Bucklin Zinfandel Sonoma County Bambino Old Hill Ranch 2007
This intensely perfumed Zinfandel blend is produced in extremely small quantities and shows intoxicating aromas of wildflowers and dried cherries. Made from a field blend of over a dozen varieties of organic grapes, this wine is pure velvet in the mouth and finishes with flavors of leather and dried black currant. This is memorable juice!
I tasted this in December 2009. A fairly tannic zin that is very musty on the nose. Also with aromas of blackberry and stone fruit.

This intense red field blend comprised of mostly Zinfandel with Petit Syrah & Grenache is cultivated by vineyard manager Phil Coturri (Tony Coturri’s brother). Jammy with lots of vanilla & baking spice, but is tempered by balanced acidity & fine tannins, a combination that makes this an ideal barbecue wine - or something for a savory winter stew.
