Bubo Zinfandel Old Vine 2009
Bubo is the Latin word for "owl" and the name of the goddess Athena's magical owl. Throughout history, owls have been regarded with fascination and associated with prosperity, good fortune, and a natural method of controlling pests. Owls that inhabit vineyards where grapes are grown are treasured because of their role as long-term stewards of the land.
Editorial Reviews for Bubo Zinfandel Old Vine
Gentle chocolate and cherry aromas on the nose are accented with hints of dried pine cone and a touch of rubber. Big and plush on entry, this is fairly large scaled but delivers simple but rich pine and cocoa touched cherry fruit. Falls flat on the finish. 83pts
juicy and jammy, fruit forward with a bit of bramble. very easy to drink and perhaps fun for casual parties. nothing really special to it.
enjoyed this wine; will say, a bit unusual for me to taste oak and berry at the same time
green leafy taste! unripe fruit.
