Editorial Reviews for Brutocao Zinfandel Estate Hopland Ranches Mendocino
A fairly ripe wine, but on both the nose and the palate this shows red fruits, strawberry and raspberry. There’s a lovely Zin richness on the palate without any excess weight, making this easy to enjoy and wide open on the palate in a juicy, smooth style that shows a nice bright edge. A little French oak spice pops on the modest finish. 88 points

Italian blend of sangiovese, primitivo, dolcetto, and barbera. Lovely read and black fruit aromas, with spicy notes and real structure. Would be age-worthy.
Outstanding zin, with real complexity. Jammy blackberry aromas and palate complements the cedary spice. Cracked pepper notes emerge as the fruit fades on the finish. Great value.
Outstanding cabernet, with cassis aromas and flavors and distinctive whiff of pencil lead shavings. This is still young, with a strong grip of tannins. Age it a year or two to let the flavors smooth out.
