External Reviews for Brut Blanc de Blanc. Delamotte
A mineral-driven version, with sleek acidity and a lively bead framing the notes of macerated peach and apricot, candied grapefruit zest and lemon meringue pie. Drink now through 2022.
Last year, this wine was buzzing with limestone acidity; this year, its grandeur and opulence shows mainly in the remarkably long finish, while the acidity is taut, closing off the wine rather than energizing it. Completely dry, this feels like it’s in a holding pattern, waiting to take off. A well-priced 2002 with a strong future ahead.
