User Reviews for Bruno Rocca Barbaresco Maria Adelaide a Selection of Wines Or Other Items Italy Puglia Nebbiolo

Winemaker's Notes:

The Rocca family originates from Barbaresco. Bruno Rocca took charge of the family business when his father died in 1978, and decided that all the wine produced by the estate would from then on be sold in bottle. Bruno now has 12 hectares of vineyards, of which 5 are planted in the prestigious Rabaja cru. Since taking over the estate Rocca has risen to the top of the quality tree in Barbaresco. Stylistically he is a consummate modernist, yet the wines have great intensity of fruit and wonderful oak balance. 'Maria Adelaide' shows gorgeous garnet red in colour, this wine has rich aromas of blackberries, prunes and black cherries on the nose, with hints of violets, roses and spice. Rounded, warm and elegant on the palate, with rich fruit characters and a touch of dried flowers, long and powerful to the finish.
