Bruno Colin Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru En Remilly 2011
Winemaker's Notes:
93 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): Smoke, sweet spices, apricots and succulent yellow peaches wrap around the palate in the 2011 Chassagne-Montrachet En Remilly. The style is juicy, resonant and beautifully expressive. Even with all of its depth and power, I imagine the 2011 will drink well pretty much upon release. There is a resonance to the En Remilly I find particularly appealing. Drink: 2014+. (Sep 2013)
Bruno Colin:
Michel Colin-Deleger was a third generation winemaker in Burgundy but he retired in 2003 and his business was split between sons Philippe and Bruno. Bruno and his wife Stephanie have the old winery in Chassagne-Montrachet and 9 hectares spread across 30 parcels in several Burgundy appellations. They produce 19 cuvees in total, both red and white,12 of which are Premier Cru.
