Low alcohol (8% ish) and off dry, this is a very approachable, aperitif style sparkler. Very well priced, its an alternative to Moscato d'Asti. Light cherry and very delicate biscuit flavors work well with the softening sweetness. This is a tasty wine. Perfect for a picnic.

Winemaker's Notes:

This wine is made just like the Cerdon du Bugey, but only from Gamay grapes. Many people find the name rather confusing... what the heck does FRV100 mean? Actually, it is a brilliant play on words using phonetic pronunciations understandable to the average consumer. Here's how it works. The phonetic pronunciation of FRV 100 in English is EFF ARE VEE ONE HUNDRED. In French, it is EFF ERR VAY SON – in other words EFFERVESCENT! That's right....this is sparkling Gamay made by méthode ancestrale! Snapshot Country France Region Beaujolais Appellation Vin Mousseaux Aromatique de Qualité Color Rosé Still / Sparkling Frizzante Special Features Practicing Organic Bottle Size Full Bottle (750 ml) Varieties Gamay
