Brown Estate Chaos Theory Napa Valley 2007

Winemaker's Notes:

Wine Tasting Notes With its inky garnet core and translucent ruby rim, this wine is nothing short of uplifting. The nose reveals deep, rich, complex aromatics leading to a palate bursting with spun sugar, warm milk, cinnamon, vanilla, Provencial herbs, wildflowers, sweet black cherries, crushed rocks, chocolate covered cherries, and Chinese thousand layer cake. Mouthfeel is voluptuous and velvety, long, deep, and seamless in style with amazing power and purity. Drink now through 2025.

Brown Estate is a private family owned and operated estate winery tucked into the hills east of Rutherford in the Napa Valley. With a dream of owning a family farm, our parents put down roots in the Valley in 1980. Between 1985 and 1990 we planted a total of fifty acres of vineyards that include Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Chardonnay. Through our first decade of farming the land, we sold all of our fruit to a variety of small local wineries. In 1996 we produced our first vintage of Zinfandel under the Brown Estate label, and subsequently have expanded production to include Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, our Chaos Theory blend, and Petite Sirah. This year we celebrate our 30th year in the Valley and our fifteenth crush. As we consider these milestones, we take great pride in the fact that every aspect of our business remains under direct family control. Read less

Brilliant dark ruby/purple core with a translucent crimson rim. Gorgeous aromas of boysenberry, wild blackberries, black cherry, hibiscus and exotic rosewood fill the glass. The nose further reveals wildflowers after spring rains and French lavender intermingled with freshly ground black pepper, bacon fat, brioche, and worn leather. Mouthfeel excites with a velvety texture and a long lingering finish. Fantastic extraction of ripe fruit elements is balanced out seamlessly with vibrant acidity and verve. Drink now to 2020. - winery
