I anticipated that Australian chenin blanc would be South African in style, crisp and zesty. In fact, this owes more to traditional Loire chenin blanc. It could almost be Vouvray except it lacks the minerality of that region. For this price though it makes lovely summer afternoon drinking as the appley fruit is off-dry.

Brown Brothers Chenin Blanc is pale in colour. Aromas of honeydew, tropical fruits and a some floral notes. It has flavours of pear and melon with some Granny Smith apple crispness with a touch of lingering sweetness.
