The vines my great-great grandfather planted in 1891 led to the estate vineyard known as “Metala” vineyard, recognised as one of the most famous in South Australia. Deep maroon, crimson and magenta hues. A lifted spice and herb aroma displaying a rosemary fragrance mixed with plum and dark red fruits. Juicy berries up front greet explosive fruits coupled with talc and fine drying tannins which carry the fruit across the palate uninterrupted. Highly approachable now but will cellar for 6 to 8 years.

ôSmooth, sumptuous and meaty with a minty confiture-like expression of blackberries, raspberries, blueberries and redcurrants handsomely backed by smoky vanilla and chocolate-like oak with spicy undertones of cinnamon. Backed by firmish, fine tannins... Jeremy Oliver. A Proprietary Blend wine from South Australia in Australia. 2004 Brothers In Arms Blend No 6 750ml
