Varietal 85% Shiraz- 15% Cabernet Sauvignon Closure Screw Cap Size 750ml Alc/Vol 14.8% Enjoy Now - 2020 Picked from 15 individual plantings of the Metala Vineyards- Langhorne Creek- this wine is 85% Shiraz 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep purple/red colour. The aroma is rich- inviting and spicy with a melange of ripe raspberry- blackberry- blackcurrant and aniseed. The palate is opulent- ripe- full bodied and warming- with sweet- concentrated fruit flavour encased in full fine tannins. Approachable now but will cellar for 10+ yrs. What the critics think A big- powerful- robust wine; masses read more...of black and red fruits and bitter chocolate- with firm- almost gritty tannins; considerable length and persistence. Deep maroon, crimson and magenta hues. A lifted spice and herb aroma displaying a rosemary fragrance mixed with plum and dark red fruits. Juicy berries up front greet explosive fruits coupled with talc and fine drying tannins which carry the fruit across the palate uninterrupted. Highly approachable now but will cellar for 6 to 8 years.
