Brooks Riesling Bois Joli Vineyard Eola-Amity Hills 2015
Winemaker's Notes:
Ripe fruit character on the nose. Impressions of apricot, orange, ripe peach and lemon curd. A wonderful perception of spiciness with grated ginger, chervil and nutmeg. In the mouth this wine is loaded with ripe, full-bodied fruit, canned pears, orange, nectarine and dried apricot. Very pretty citrus blossom, floral notes and spiciness on the finish, with bright acidity like biting in to a ripe white peach. It is round and fat, with slight glycerol and passion fruit and guava tropical fruit leaving a long last- ing finish balanced with mineral and floral notes. With this medium to full bodied rich fruit profile, this would be a show stopper with fish like skate wing, halibut or cod with a citrus, butter sauce, or scallops using grapefruit and coconut in a Vietnamese preparation or certainly with barbequed pork or roasted crab.
Editorial Reviews for Brooks Riesling Bois Joli Vineyard Eola-Amity Hills
Lightly savory aromas with light lemon fruit and a mineral edge. Presents a smooth and elegant off-dry palate of sweet spice and tangerine notes, a burst of acidity through the full bodied mid palate that leaves a tingling sensation behind with melon and papaya notes and a creamy memory.
