Brooks Ara Riesling 2005

Winemaker's Notes:

Slate, spices, apples & honey ... definitely one for a collector. Only the finest and most complex fruit was selected for this beautiful blend. Promising great things for those who can hold onto cellaring for 3-5 years!

I'm not typically a riesling fan, but this was perfect on a hot day. Really well balanced. Citrus and honey. Fairly long finish. Maybe i will try more of this varietal...

Lovely riesling. Some honey, floral and hint of petroleum in the nose. Some citrus and apple too. Nice acidity. Surprisingly smooth with some honey, ripe apple and a medium finish. Wish I held it one more year.

I don't have a lot of experience with Riesling, but have tried a few -- I thought this was excellent - very fruity with some of the typical riesling flavors. Well balanced, a great summer white. After trying a bottle, I just ordered another 1/2 case.

Wow .. a little bit of time and this wine has aged elegantly. Still has crisp acidity and Mamacork says ... lots of citrus and honey. Wonderful with food and cuts through medium spice.

Bright yellow. Fresh orange, lime, quince and anise on the nose, with a dusty mineral undertone. Bitter lemon and pear skin flavors are complicated by licorice and honeysuckle, with firm grip and tangy mineral lift. Gains weight on the finish while maintaining vivacity and focus. Pretty impressive.
