Broadbent 10 Year Malmsey Madeira NV
90 points Wine Enthusiast: The Madeira regulations say that 10-years old is the age of the youngest part of the blend. So this richly sweet Malmsey contains many older wines. These are shown in the old gold color, the proper citrus acidity and the dryness that goes with wood aging. At the end, though, the liquid honey flavors are dominant. (12/15/08)
Rather interesting Madeira. Light nutty and salted caramel flavors.
A new favorite! Classic candied orange notes take on woodier tones - perhaps a hint of pine. Delicious, complex, great for the holidays.
This is a wine that will last you a while! it has very big flavor, like chocolate and wood. The fruits are orange-like and bright, perhaps with some age to them.
