Bricco Della Ciliegie Roero Arneis 2009

Member Review by dynowine:

Elegant and clean Piedmont with a tight nose. Mild acid on the attack with gentle, minerally, mildly sour fruit flavors (best described as white peach and hints of lime or kumquat). A bit of glycerin. Short finish. This would be a good wine for a newbie to wine who prefers milder tastes but doesn't want the sweet white zin thing anymore. Dry to off-dry. Body medium. Acid medium minus.

A very delicate, complex, and elegant white wine. A clean, tight nose with subtle notes of canned peaches and sharp green apple. It also smells green/herbaceous and fresh...with some very subtle sharper herbaceous notes that are reminiscent of pine or fresh spruce. Light to medium bodied. Mild acid on the palate with subdued fruit and sweet savory notes that disappear into a drying finish. Great value.
