Brewer-Clifton focuses solely on the production of vineyard designated Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Greg Brewer and Steve Clifton have set out to put the best vineyards in Santa Barbara into a bottle. One of the oldest chardonnay sites in the Sweeney Canyon, the grapes are dry farmed in a combination of river silt and diatomaceous soil. Spearmint and ginger aromatics with flavors of dried apricot and ginger snap are present. 2,592 btls produced.

This wine is 100% from our Los Alamos estate and is a combination of clones 76, 95 and 96. The fruit was harvested by hand then gently whole-cluster pressed, cold settled overnight and transferred by gravity to barrel for fermentation in 20% new French (Damy) oak with only partial malolactic (10%). 15.0% alcohol.

Planted by Norm and Traudl Huber and farmed by Brewer - Clifton, the soil is virtually pure sand, with the twenty-two year old vines driving deep into the earth. The wine clearly shows the crisp minerality of the soil of the vineyard.
