Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

Consistent with previous notes. Fruity, peppery, this time with a pepperoni pizza. Very versatile wine.

Still like this one. The fruit is just really lively, full and delicious without being ridiculously jammy. This went very well with a roasted chicken.

The early-drinking 2007 Bougeuil Trinch! is seamlessly ripe, gushing with tart blackberry and mulberry, with a palate-saturating, anything-but-thin palate presence (despite low alcohol) and rich dark chocolate, toasted nut, and pungent herbal notes in the finish. I pitted this against a plate of sautandeacute;ed tiny young beets and beet tops (wine killers if ever any grew) and the result was positively synergistic. andldquo;Cheers!andrdquo; indeed.

CO. This "Trinch!" bottle from the Bretons is all you need for an every day Cabernet Franc. It's lighter in style than their other wines. Pure dark berry fruit with a touch of thyme. Delicious and clean fruit character. We'll drink to that.

Fresh and focused, with a core of black cherry, dark olive and modest toast that stays nicely integrated on the medium-weight finish. Drink now through 2009.
