Breggo Cellars Chardonnay Anderson Valley Savoy Vineyard 2005

Winemaker's Notes:

Notes on the Breggo Chardonnay Savoy Vineyard Anderson Valley 2005 : NVWE NOTES: Bright, focused and delightfully stylish, the nose of this fine Chardonnay offers tightly packed aromas of white peach, citrus, minerals and hints of toasted almonds, in a pattern along the lines of a rather feminine Corton-Charlemagne. Virtually a perfect parallel to the aromas, the flavors of peaches, apples, citrus, minerals and toasted nuts linger with impressive clarity, gaining further elegance from a sleek, polished mouth-feel. This beauty has both the delicacy for sole in butter sauce and the intensity for Lobster Newberg. Although it will yet improve, it is delicious and food-worthy already. 209 cases produced.WINEMAKER NOTES: Made famous by pinot noir, the Savoy Vineyard reveals its long hidden treasure: a stunning source for chardonnay. Pineapple and tropical fruit in the nose gives way to dried apricots and peaches in the mouth. Aged for 11 months in French oak, the fruit works in perfect harmony with the wood. A symphony in the mouth.BREGGO CHARDONNAY SAVOY VINEYARD ANDERSON VALLEY 2005
