What to Expect

Zinfandel is considered America's own great indigenous grape, even though its origins lie on the Adriatic coast. Planted throughout California and the Pacific Northwest, Zinfandel is at its best in warm regions with cooler temperatures during harvest. The wines can range from off-dry Rosés, White Zinfandels, and light bistro styled wines, to big, rich powerful wines - even luscious wines for dessert bottling. The flavors range from plummy to raspberry, although deep blackberry fruit and brambly spice tones are most common.

Winemakers Notes

Once your eyes glimpse Brazin’s deep and inky color, they’ll alert your other senses to fasten their seat belts. Big, bold aromas of spice and mocha fill your nose, while intense flavors of plum and chocolate, rich tannins and vanilla mocha notes rock your palate. Brazin is a not a wine to be rushed – don’t be afraid to savor its long, lingering finish.

Reviews

Very deep ruby color - almost inky. Nose is quite nice, with spicy aromas with underlying cherry and stone fruit. Was far better the second day and really opened up nicely, which would suggest decanting is in order. Pair with maybe lamb or grilled pork and BBQ, but probably not my first choice for a grilled steak.
