Kajal likes. Very very light red. Drinkable. Smells smokey. Nothing offensive, but not exciting.

We were the first to plant and create the world’s first Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc wine – a style that has since changed the course of New Zealand's wine industry. While Marlborough is our home, we also craft wines from other renowned winegrowing regions of New Zealand – wines that continue to be judged among the best in shows the world over, and most importantly - by wine lovers such as yourself. Light even for a pinot noir, but very good at this price. Shows tawny in 2011, nose of a higher priced pinot. If you can find it, get it and enjoy it in the near term.

Floral nose. Some strawberry, but over all, it's a heavy, meaty and earthy Burgundian palate.

Cherry colored, resinous aroma, berry - fruit flavors, long after taste

Garnet red in color, this wine exhibits ripe cherry and spice accentuated with rich plum and savory highlights. It has a rich, sweet approach displaying ripe dark berry fruits, subtle oak spice, velve

Garnet red in color, this wine exhibits ripe cherry and spice accentuated with rich plum and savory highlights. It has a rich, sweet approach displaying ripe dark berry fruits, subtle oak spice, velvety tannins and a long, concentrated finish. This wine's structure and concentration make it an ideal match for a wide range of foods. It will match well with field mushroom pasta or risotto. It also lends itself to rare, grilled red meats or a variety of slow cooked casseroles including game meats, such as rabbit or fowl.

Clean raspberry flavors infuse this simple, juicy pinot noir. For a burger, grilled rare.

Lithe and supple, with fine intensity to black pepper, red currant and black plum notes. Fresh herb accents, cedary oak and a tangy structure shape the finish. Drink now through 2009.

Palish bright red. Redcurrant and cinnamon aromas complicated by a smoky nuance. A sweet, supple style, with flavors of ripe red berries and spices. Not hugely concentrated or vibrant but finishes with smooth tannins and lingering sweetness of fruit.

Brancott Pinot Noir Reserve Winemaker's notes: Color: Deep garnet red. Aromas: The wine shows fragrant wild berry aromas, dark plum, a hint of tobacco and fine integrated oak toast. Palate: The palate also shows these dark berry fruits and exhibits a mouth-filling, ripe fruit sweetness. Soft, supple tannins give this wine excellent mouth-feel. Serving Suggestions: Porcini or field mushroom risotto or pasta. Grilled rare venison or grilled ostrich. Slow-cooked rabbit, hare or wild fowl stews with winter vegetables. Duck confit. Cellaring: An elegant but complex, fruit-driven wine which may be cellared for up to six years.
