Brancott Estate Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough New Zealand 2014

External Review by WineExpress.com:

The original New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, Brancott has been producing this outstanding wine since 1979 and it's been a benchmark ever since. Brancott Vineyards have the unique distinction of having planted the first commercial vineyard in Marlborough. And we've all seen what that's led to. This 2014 is yet again a solid wine. Steve Tanzer said "Pale straw-yellow. Pungent aromas of grapefruit pith, lime zest and tarragon, with hints of tropical fruits. Fat and dry, showing good cut and intensity along with a hint of youthful reduction; conveys a slightly dusty texture owing to the unabsorbed CO2. Finishes lightly saline and persistent, with a bit of lemony tartness."
