Pungent and nettle-like upfront, but those leafy elements are balanced by bright grapefruity flavors on the palate. Itrsquo;s medium in body and fresh, clean and appealing on the finish. Hard to do better at the price.

A spicy and pungent herbal, almost peppery, note gives way to crisp lemon, lime and white grapefruit flavors, with zingy acidity. Distinctive and very refreshing. Drink now.

Pale straw. Pungent aromas of grapefruit pith, fresh herbs and pepper. Sweet, round and spicy, with varietally typical herbaceous and peppery elements enlivening the pineapple fruit. Fairly dense and tactile for a sauvignon in this price range, conveying a solid impression of extract.

Brancott sets the style for clean, oceanic Marlborough sauvignon with this mouthwatering wine. Thereandrsquo;s a touch of flint in the aroma, bright passionfruit flavors and fresh acidity to balance it. Delicious with a plate of fried clams.

Winemaker's Notes:

Ripe bell pepper aromas dominate, with hints of passionfruit. The palate has rich fruit intensity with a crisp finish. Grapes are harvested from the renowned Brancott Estate in Marlborough and are produced in a consistent, definitive Marlborough style. One can't be sure, but this might be the best 10 dollar sauvignon blanc anywhere.

Tasting Notes:

The wine is pale straw in color with green highlights. Aromas of rock melon, lemongrass and ripe gooseberry dominate with top notes ranging from tropical grapefruit to sweet capsicum adding interest to the nose.
