"Tre" is a blend of Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet. The grapes are carefully selected from our three estates Brancaia (Castellina), Poppi (Radda) and Brancaia in Maremma (Morellino di Scansano). TRE is a wine full of character giving you drinking enjoyment already at young age.

Brancaia in Chianti Classico, encompassing the two estates Brancaia and Poppi, has been owned by the Swiss couple Brigitte and Bruno Widmer since 1981. Barbara and Martin Kronenberg-Widmer run the winery together which is located in the heart of the Chianti Classico area. The estate had a vertical take-off when it’s vintage 1983 won first place at a major Chianti Classico tasting. Takes a good long decant to really evolve. Acidity and tannins smooth out after more than a few hours. This can lay down for a few years but with a lot of air drinks well now. Very food friendly.

Smoke and dark cherry in the nose. Tobacco, dark cherry and smoke in the flavors. Silky and smooth with medium finish.

Dicht und gut strukturiert im Gaumen. Schöne Harmonie mit aromatischem Abgang. Fleischige, nach Weichseln, etwas Eukalyptus und Unterholz duftende Nase, zusätzlich dezente Noten nach Pflaumenkompott und dunklen Beeren. Saftiger, von feinsten reifen Gerbstoffen geprägter würziger Auftakt, mit vollmundigem und langanhaltendem Finale. Ein Paradewein für alle Tage.

Brancaia Tre Rosso di Toscana IGT 2007: Dieser Wein macht deutlich, wie hoch das Qualitätsniveau bei Brancaia ist. DerTre beeindruckt mit seinem feinen Bukett. Die ihm innewohnende Harmonieund sein eleganter Ausklang sind eine wahre Freude. Trotz des noch jungen Jahrgangs, begeistern bereits jetzt facettenreiche und intensive Duftaromen von Brombeeren,  schwarzen Johannisbeeren, und Veilchen. Die gut eingebundenen Tannine wirken am Gaumen nicht aufdringlich und das Finale zeigt sich wunderbar fruchtbetont und sehr lang anhaltend.Von drei Weingüternin Castellina, Radda und Grosseto stammen die Trauben, daher der Namedes Weins, der sich schon jung gut trinken lässt.
