Brampton Shiraz 2008

Winemaker's Notes:

This savory, Rhône-inspired Shiraz combines juicy flavors of wild berry, black cherry, and brambly fruit with elements of earth, dark chocolate, pepper, an exotic spice. Pair this lip smacking bottling – a perennial “Best Buy"/ “Best Value” – with grilled or braised meats, game dishes, or roast leg of lamb with Provencal spices.

Peppery nose, some bramble, and currents. Fried peppery palate with varying dark fruit components, enjoyable finish, would be great with a hearty dinener

Midpale garnet. Youthful, almost Beaujolais Nouveau-like. Fresh red fruit. Quite a light-bodied Shiraz. Mild tannins. Simply quaffable.

A solid Shiraz from South Africa. The Brampton wines from the Stellenbosch region are made in a style that boasts upfront fruit on the palate. This is unoaked and shows all the red, peppery fruit you've come to love in this versatile grape.
