Braida Bricco Dell'Uccellone Barbera d'Asti 2010

Winemaker's Notes:

Quite intense ruby red with garnet highlights. The bouquet is rich and complex with hints of red berries and small fruits; in the background there are mint, vanilla and liquorice spices. The taste is generous, full-bodied making a mixture of great softness and grand class, with a particularly long aromatic finish. The descendants of Giacomo Bologna, called "Braida", who founded the estate in 1961, have carried on a fine tradition and continue to make probably the best Barbera d'Asti in Piedmont. But, then, if Braida Bricco dell'Uccellone is only Barbera, then Chateau Latour is only Cabernet Sauvignon.
