Boyanci Red Blend St. Helena 2007

Member Review by aronowm2:

This is as close to Californian perfection as you can get. Big and bold. You can't taste the well integrated 14.9% alcohol, but it sure packs a punch. This must be eaten with a thick juicy steak. This can be a sipper but I highly recommend a huge food pairing. Enjoy it with a nice expensive cigar after dinner. Lots of black cherry and nutmeg. The finish lingers until the next sip. Just a truly remarkable wine that was made with a lot of care and love.

BOYANCI was created in 2006 by industry veterans Kevin BOYer and Tom SteffANCI. More than just a combination of our two last names, the brand is quite literally about "buoyancy". Our motto, as printed on all of our bottles is "BE UPLIFTING". This is the thread represented in everything we do, from the wines we create, to the charitable organizations and sustainable projects that we support around the globe. We are committed to giving 10% of all profits to charitable projects as well as a more significant portion of our time and energy. Our first charitable partner is Coprodeli, and we will be taking a volunteer group to Peru in April to support them and their amazing initiatives. Please visit them as www.coprodeliusa.org or on their Coprodeli facebook page to learn more Currently, BOYANCI has two wines both crafted by famed winemaking goddess Mia Klein. Our flagship, Napa Valley Red Blend showcases our mountain vineyards and represents the best wine we can make in a given vintage. Only 200 cases are made each year. We also produce a Napa Valley Cabernet named InSpire (we call it "son of BOYANCI") which is a combination of mountain and valley fruit and focuses on the power and richness of Napa Valley Cabernet with a silky, elegant finish. Wow. Unbelievable depth and richness to this Napa Blend. From mountain vineyards supposedly, but incredibly elegant for a mostly Cabernet Blend. Had this at Ruth's Chris Steak House last night, somm suggested it for me

THIS WINE IS LEGENDARY!! Boyanci has an incredible supple balance that over delivers for the price, if you can get your hands on it............stock up!! Definitely in my top 2 ever tasted. Can't wait to taste Inspire, their new label. I also read that a portion of their profits go to a non-profit....great wine, and great philosophy!
