Wine Tasting NotesBoutari Grande Reserve Naoussa is one of Boutari's first and best-known wines. It is the first red wine from Greece to introduce the designation of limited and controlled production among Greek wines. This fine red wine has been awarded numerous distinctions at prestigious international competitions. Boutari Grande Reserve Naoussa blends the tannic Xinomavro variety with the softness of barrel and bottle aging. Greece's 'Grande Reserve' designation is only be granted to wines that are barrel aged for two years (minimum), and then subsequently bottle aged for an additional two years (minimum). A wine apt to ageing wine, the approximate lifespan in a proper cellar is 12-15 years. Serve at 64F accompanied by dishes of game with spicy sauces and yellow cheeses.
