Boutari Agiorgitiko (translates from Greek to ‘St. George') is the name of one of Greece's most well known grape varieties cultivated primarily in Nemea in the Peloponnese region of southern Greece. Boutari's Agiorgitiko is one of its prize-winning wines: its maiden vintage alone earned a gold medal at the 1995 Bordeaux Vinexpo competition. In the mouth it presents a velvet taste, good structure aqnd balance. Round with long aromatic aftertaste dominated by the aromas of marmalade of red fruits, dry nuts, chocolate and spices.
